i totally cannot stop thinking about the trip to Gunung Stong after As... so shiok! siEw! i want your digicam!! take pictures as i go along.. searched the net for info about the trek. it's sooooo different from the mt. kinabalu one.
kinabalu -- cold
stong -- hot
kinabalu -- waterdroplets and rain
stong -- streams and rivers (must waddle.. through)
kinabalu -- lodging
stong -- huts and tents
kinabalu -- one big piece granite summit (steep)
stong -- a lot of pieces of granite uphill (just as steep)
ah lau and me (the only 2 girls) and a few of my class guys plus my civics tutor, are gonna embark on the journey up gunung stong! i can't wait.. i know it won't be easy.. and i may not be determined enough.. but i know with my pals around and the adventure worth a life time.. hey! that's worth more than 200 bucks. and yes. i've saved 50 bucks this 2 weeks.. i feel so accomplished.. i'll keep up the good work for this hiking trip and grad night (which is 4 days? after the climb?).
killing 2 birds with one stone. one, a trip overseas; two, slimming for grad night. haha.. just hope i don't get scratch marks.. scars.. or anything during the trip.. cos i've paid a humongous sum of 85 bucks for gradnight.. and i wanna make it worth it.
and before i go.. here's a few pics for you to make out what Gunung Stong is like.

Never measure the height of a mountain until you have reached the top. Then you will see how low it was
